The Lamprey is very limited in terms of accessible areas for active swimming, but many sites offer opportunities to cool off and relax. The state does not test the Lamprey River for harmful bacteria. Please read these precautions and plan accordingly.

Pawtuckaway State Park - Beach fills fast, get there early.
The Nottingham Town Beach is for Nottingham residents only and is located off of Deerfield Road.  It is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend - daily from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., weather permitting. For updates on beach closures and advisories, please click here.
