Sliding Rock Park / Piscassic Park

This small park offers access to some of the best boating on the river. Improvements completed in 2023 include two new kiosk panels, a new kayak-canoe rack, and the removal of several hazard trees. Town-owned kayaks can be rented from Newmarket Recreation. Call 603-659-8581 for information on renting a kayak or storing your own. The park also offers a short walk to where the Piscassic River joins the Lamprey River. Please note that the entire Lamprey River is a no-wake zone.
